2. Exploration and research of change point analysis based on response time in detecting accelerated response

Published Time: 2022-05-14 Views: 7091 Downloads: 1368

Summary of content:

Compared with traditional discrete response data, response time as continuous data can provide more information. change point analysis (change point analysis) is a relatively new technique in the field of psychology and education. On the one hand, this paper makes a comprehensive summary and analysis of the application of change point analysis in the field of psychometric measurement. On the other hand, the two kinds of change-point analysis statistics based on the response data are extended to the response time data, and the change-point analysis technique is applied to the detection of the abnormal response mode: speededness and speededness. Two test methods, likelihood ratio test and Wald test, were used to detect abnormal response patterns under the condition of known and unknown item parameters respectively. The results show that the proposed method has high testing power for the detection of accelerated response behavior, and can well control the Class I error rate. The empirical data analysis further indicates that the method used in this paper has application value.

4. Subject fitting research based on residual statistics in multilevel scoring tests

Published Time: 2022-04-06 Views: 2750 Downloads: 757

Summary of content:

In this paper, we propose an individual fitting statistic R under multilevel scoring items, and examine its performance under six common abnormal response modes (cheating, guessing, random, careless, innovative response, mixed anomaly), and compare it with the standardized log-likelihood statistic lzp. The results showed that: (1) the detection rate of R was significantly higher than that of lzp when the exception response coverage rate was low and the exception response type was cheating and guessing; (2) With the increase of the length of the test and the abnormal degree of the subjects, the detection rate of the two statistics will increase; (3) Under some conditions, the detection effect of R and lzp is close. The empirical data analysis further shows the use method and process of R statistic, and the results also show that R statistic has a good application prospect.

5. The dissociative effect of emotional regulation strategy use habits and choice preferences: The moderating role of trait Anxiety

Published: 2022-04-14 Views: 5343 Downloads: 711

Summary of content:

To explore the relationship between the use habit of emotion regulation strategy and choice preference of college students and its mechanism. In study 1, questionnaire method and behavioral experiment method were used to investigate the use habits and choice preferences of five emotional regulation strategies and the relationship between them. Study 2 examined the effect of trait anxiety on the correlation between emotion regulation strategy use habits and choice preferences. The results show that there is a significant negative correlation between the use habit of expression catharsis and choice preference. Trait anxiety did not affect the correlation among cognitive reappraisal, expression inhibition, receptivity, attentional distraction and choice preference. However, the correlation between expression catharsis strategy usage habit and choice preference is affected.

6.Standing up for close others: The relationship effect on moral courage across harm/care and fairness contexts

Published Time: 2022-02-06 Views: 5385 Downloads: 708

Summary of content:

Moral courage, standing up for others and intervening when a norm is violated,  is viewed as a virtue in modern societies. However,  it remains unclear how moral courage varies in interpersonal relationships and across moral contexts. Two studies were  designed to test the effect of relationship type (close or distant) between the bystander and the victim on moral  courage across harm/care and fairness contexts. The results showed that participants reported greater levels of moral  courage when the victim was their family member or friend (vs. a stranger),  and this relationship effect was stronger in the harm/care (vs. fairness) context. In addition, anger, a moral emotion,  served a mediation role in the relationship effect on moral courage in both moral contexts. Taken together,  the current findings demonstrate a relationship effect on the intentions of moral courage,  especially in the harm/care context,  suggesting that the relationship (between bystander and victim) and the context (harm/care vs. fairness) should be  considered in understanding interventions against a norm violation.

7. Study on subject fitting in cognitive diagnostic evaluation

Published Time: 2022-05-12 Views: 7105 Downloads: 705

Summary of content:

In general, cognitive diagnosis requires diagnostic evaluation of subjects through cognitive diagnosis model. The validity of the diagnostic results generated by the cognitive diagnostic model depends on whether the responses of the subjects fit the selected model. Therefore, when evaluating the diagnosis results, it is necessary to test the response of the subjects and the fit of the model through the subject fitting analysis, so as to avoid errors or ineffective remedies. Based on the weighted score residual, this study proposed a new subject fitting index R in cognitive diagnostic evaluation. The simulation results showed that the one-class error rate of R index had a good stability, and had a high statistical testing power for random response, fatigue, sleep and creative response types of abnormal subjects. Then R index is applied to the empirical data of fraction subtraction to show the application process of R index in the actual test.

8. Optimization of life satisfaction prediction model enhanced by text data

Published time: 2022-01

Summary of content:

[Objective] With the development of network big data and machine learning methods, more and more researches combine text analysis and machine learning to predict satisfaction. In the study on the establishment of life satisfaction prediction model, aiming at the difficulty of obtaining a large amount of effective annotated data, this study proposes to optimize the life satisfaction prediction model based on text data enhancement. [Methods] After adapting the Dalian Dictionary of Science and Technology, the 357 living conditions were described as the original text, and the life satisfaction scale was self-scored as the mark. The text data were enhanced through EDA and back translation, and the prediction model was established by traditional machine learning algorithm. [Results] The results showed that the predictive ability of each model was greatly improved after the revision of the dictionary. After data enhancement, only the linear regression model was observed to improve the translation and EDA. The Pearson correlation coefficient between the predicted value and the actual value of the Ridge regression model using the original data for training is the highest, reaching 0.4131. [Conclusion] The improvement of feature extraction accuracy can optimize the current life satisfaction prediction model, but for the life satisfaction prediction model based on word frequency, text data enhancement based on back translation and EDA may not be very suitable.

9. Causal role of ventromedial prefrontal cortex in implicit cognitive reappraisal

Summary of content:

Emotion regulation is very important for maintaining individual mental health and adapting to social life. However, previous studies mainly focused on explicit emotion regulation, but our understanding of the cognitive neural mechanism of implicit emotion regulation is still very limited. To reveal the brain region that is central to implicit emotion regulation, this study used transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, tDCS activated the medial prefrontal cortex, especially ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC), to investigate the causal role of this brain region in implicit emotion regulation. The results showed that the VMPFC-activated group (experimental group, n = 40) reported less negative emotions when viewing negative images than the tDCS pseudo-stimulus group (control group, n = 40) under the implicit cognitive reappraisal primo condition. Meanwhile, the amplitude of late positive potential (LPP) induced by negative images is lower (LPP is an objective indicator of emotional experience intensity). At the same time, the experimental group showed lower occipital P1 amplitude (P1 is an objective indicator of early visual attention) when viewing negative images than the control group. These results indicate that activating the medial prefrontal lobe represented by vmPFC can not only enhance the effect of implicit emotion regulation, but also reduce the early attention allocation of subjects to negative stimuli. This study is the first attempt to investigate prime-induced implicit emotion regulation by using tDCS technology. The results of this study not only indicate the key role of medial prefrontal cortex represented by vmPFC in implicit cognitive reappraisal, but also point out potential neural regulatory targets for enhancing implicit emotion regulation ability for clinical application research.

Summary of content:

In order to reveal the co-existence pattern of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression in primary and secondary school students after the earthquake, this study conducted a questionnaire survey on primary and secondary school students in disaster areas one year after Wenchuan earthquake and Ya 'an earthquake respectively, and constructed a co-existence symptom network based on Gaussian graph model and Bayesian hill-climbing algorithm. The results showed that the overlapping symptoms of PTSD and depression and the symptoms of emotional numbness played a bridging role in the coexistence network of the two under the framework of DSM-IV. The results of subnetwork detection were different from the symptom boundaries of DSM-IV. Intrusion symptoms and avoidance symptoms in PTSD were specific symptoms that were different from depression, and intrusion symptoms stimulated avoidance symptoms in most cases. In the co-existing mode, depressive symptoms often trigger PTSD symptoms. The above results have been cross-verified in Wenchuan and Ya 'an samples, which can be extended to a certain extent.

Summary of content:

A total of 146 primary school children in the first grade were selected as the research subjects. Three follow-up tests were conducted for 2 years to investigate the changes in the developmental relationship between morpheme awareness, Chinese character recognition and vocabulary knowledge of primary school students from the first to the third grade. After controlling for phonological awareness, rapid naming, orthographic awareness, general cognitive ability, and autoregressive effect, the results showed that: (1) Chinese character recognition in first grade significantly predicted homophone awareness and homophone awareness in second grade; (2) Vocabulary knowledge in first grade significantly predicted complex morpheme awareness and Chinese character recognition in second grade; (3) Chinese character recognition and vocabulary knowledge in the second grade predicted the homophone awareness, homophone awareness and complex morpheme awareness in the third grade. (4) Homomorpheme awareness in the second grade had a significant predictive effect on the third grade word knowledge. The results showed that Chinese character recognition and vocabulary knowledge of primary school students from the first to the third grade had predictive effects on morpheme awareness. Among the prediction effects of three morpheme awareness on Chinese character recognition and word knowledge, only homomorpheme awareness can significantly predict word knowledge. The relationship between morpheme awareness, Chinese character recognition and lexical knowledge has changed and has the characteristics of stages.

September: Implementation of Bayesian Analysis of Variance in JASP

Published Time: 2022-09-27 Click: 9629 Download: 436

Summary of content:

Bayesian statistical methods for hypothesis testing - Bayesian factors - are increasingly used in psychological research. The Bayesian factor quantifies the evidence supporting the hypothesis or model, and then, based on its size, makes a judgment about which hypothesis or model is more supported by the current data. However, there is a lack of introduction to the principle and application of Bayesian factor analysis. This paper first introduces the basic idea and calculation principle of Bayeux square error analysis, and then shows how to analyze Bayeux square error analysis and how to interpret and report the results of five commonly used psychological experimental designs in JASP (single-factor inter-group design, single-factor intra-group design, two-factor inter-group design, two-factor intra-group design and two-factor mixed design) combined with case data. Bayesian analysis of variance provides an effective alternative to traditional analysis of variance and is a powerful tool for researchers to make statistical inference.

Summary of content:

Academic achievement is an important indicator to measure students' learning cognitive ability and test their learning effect, which is significantly affected by perceived social support and learning engagement, etc. Previous studies have investigated the mechanism of the combined action of these two factors on academic achievement, but the strength of the relationship between perceived social support and its subtypes and academic achievement is unclear. The effects of mediating effect and moderating effect on the relationship between the two are still unclear. Therefore, the current study uses a meta-analysis method to test the reliability of effect size, the mediating effect of learning engagement and a series of moderating effects. A total of 41 original literatures, including 78 studies, were included in this study. The results showed that: (1) Perceived social support and subtypes showed a significant positive correlation with academic achievement, but the effect value was small, that is, there was a weak correlation between the two. In addition, perceived social support and subtypes positively predicted learning engagement, and the effect size of learning engagement was higher than that of academic achievement. (2) School years only had a significant moderating effect on perceived teacher support. Academic achievement indicators moderated the relationship between perceived social support and subtypes and academic achievement, while economic level and cultural background had no significant moderating effect. (3) Learning engagement partially mediates the effects of perceived social support and subtypes on academic achievement, and the mediating effect only exists in middle school group, but not in high school group.

December: Suggested translation of "Theory of Mind" as "mental speculation"

Published: 2022-12-23 Views: 9371 Downloads: 267

Summary of content:

The term "theory of mind" refers to the ability to recognize the mental states (goals, intentions, attention, beliefs, knowledge, desires, emotions, etc.) of oneself and others. It is not only an important branch of psychology and neuroscience, but also has a wide range of applications in the humanities and social sciences. It is also a promising development direction in the field of artificial intelligence. In the Chinese context, its meaning has reached a consensus, but its Chinese translation has not reached a complete unity. Taking "theory of mind" as the key word, this study searched the academic journal subdatabase of CNKI database, obtained 421 eligible Chinese literatures after screening, and analyzed them to determine the development and use of the translation of "theory of mind". Based on the fact that "theory of mind" in the field of research and application actually refers to the situation of psychological speculation, and the feasibility and basis of translating "theory" into "speculation" in English, it is finally suggested to take "psychological speculation" as the Chinese translation of "theory of mind".

Step 3 Summarize

Preprint exchange solves the publication delay problem, improves the efficiency of academic exchange, and thus brings a series of outstanding benefits, including avoiding disputes over the right of first publication, promoting open access and open review, helping to improve the influence of scholars, especially young scholars, and providing publishing channels for more negative results and non-mainstream views. The China Psychology Preprint platform received 273 papers in 2022, about the same as in 2021 (284 papers). In the future, the publicity and construction of China Psychology Preprint Platform will be strengthened, and it is planned to build China's open science platform of psychology based on PsyChinaXiv, so as to further help the open science process of Chinese psychological science.

In order to benefit more psychology workers, we welcome you to build our psychology preprint platform with us.
