From April 14 to 27, 2019, with the support of Bureau of International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 2nd International (West Asian) Training Course on Advanced Theories and Techniques for Young Psychologists was held in Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Wei Guangdong, a member of the China Psychology Preprint Administrative Committee and library director of the Institute of Psychology, introduces the trend of open access at home and abroad and work related to the psychology preprint platform at the training class. The report starts with the existing rich literature resources in the library of the Institute of Psychology, and further points out that although the increasingly rich literature resources can meet the need for literature information in most scientific research activities of the Institute, the current model is not sustainable, and increasingly goes against the requirements of scientists and the public for scientific knowledge dissemination. Therefore, Open access will become an important form of publishing and science communication in the future. Because the preprint not only conforms to the demand of open access, but also is more conducive to the rapid dissemination and free access of scientific knowledge, the construction of preprint platform has seen a great prosperity in recent years. Following the trend of open access, the Institute of Psychology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences established the China Psychology Preprint Platform in 2018 in cooperation with ChinaXiv. The platform is committed to promoting the concept and spirit of open access, pushing Chinese psychology to embrace the open scientific paradigm, and promoting the academic exchange of psychology in China to be more autonomous, rapid, fair and transparent. Now in its second year, 30 participants from 16 countries, including Iran, participated in the "International Training Course on Advanced Theories and Techniques for Young Psychologists". |
